“I consider myself very fortunate to have found a teacher as gifted as Kalyani. I have taken her flow, restorative, and yoga nidra classes, as well as a private session. The experience has been nothing short of life changing. When I first came to Kalyani's class it was several months after a major shoulder surgery. Having finished physical therapy I knew that I needed to continue my healing process so I decided to give yoga a try. In my first few classes I felt both encouraged and supported even though I was limited in some postures, and while these were public classes Kalyani took the time to give me extra help when and where I needed it because of my condition. In subsequent sessions I began to learn more about the foundation and philosophy of the ancient art of yoga. There are some who teach yoga as though it were a fitness class, which may work for some people, but while the physical aspects of her classes can be both demanding, and rewarding, Kalyani's approach to teaching also integrates the spiritual, emotional, and healing aspects of yoga practice. In the past year I have made tremendous progress in my shoulder, as well as in other aspects of my life and I owe much of that to Kalyani's teaching, guidance, and encouragement. Her message is always positive, and especially mindful, with regard to ourselves, our lives, and how we treat others. There are many excellent teachers in the yoga world. What sets Kalyani apart is not only her deep knowledge and understanding of yoga and healing arts, but also her capacity, and desire to truly help others achieve wellness. And most importantly, how much she genuinely cares about her students.”
